We understand that dental insurance & finances are complex to navigate. Dental insurance coverage for procedures varies between different insurance providers, between plans these providers offer and is dependant on clauses and exclusions of these plans. That said, at West Calgary Periodontics we are here to help you understand the details of your plan, and help navigate your insurance coverage. We will always recommend treatment with your optimal health in mind. The costs associated with treatment are usually covered by insurance policies to various extents. However, since insurance policies vary, and insurance providers are permitted to make changes to your policy, your coverage for these procedures may change as well.

To minimize administrative costs, keep treatment fees low, and comply with new privacy legislation, we are a non-assignment office. This means that the patient pays in full for the treatment at the time of service, and the insurance company reimburses the patient directly. We offer several payment options for your convenience including cash, InteracĀ®, and credit card payment by Visa and MasterCard.

To further reduce financial barriers to treatment, our office has proudly partnered with iFinance Dental that offers payment plans specifically tailored for financing dental treatment. iFinance offers competitive interest rates, with no down payment, no collateral required, on flexible and extended payment plans. Q) Do you offer direct billing?

We do not offer direct billing. However, we are happy to submit a claim to your insurance company on your behalf, so that you can be reimbursed as soon as possible. Patients are typically reimbursed within a few business days after the claim has beensubmitted.

Q) What costs will my insurance provider cover?

Insurance policies and coverages vary. At your request, we will submit for a pre- treatment estimate of coverage, that will serve as a guide of your insurance coverage, and potential out-of-pocket expenses. By law, the pre-treatment estimate of coverage is sent to you. Let our office know once you have received it, and we will assist in reviewing its details with you.

Q) What is a pre-treatment estimate of coverage?

A pre-treatment estimate of coverage, also known as a pre-determination, provides you with an estimate of your insurance coverage, and potential out-of-pocket expenses for your treatment. It may take up to 6 weeks to receive a response to pre- treatment estimates from your insurance provider, and the response will be sent directly to you.

We require payment in full at the time of treatment. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and InteracĀ® debit.

Q) Do you offer payment plans or other financing options?
