Surgical Dental Assistant

Requirements:

• Registered Dental Assistant Level II
• Friendly, personable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a team player.
• Organized with a strong work ethic, and able to multitask and prioritize duties.
• Comfortable and eager to work in a surgical environment.
• Willing to learn and adapt as needed.
• Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Proficiency in communicating with patients.
  • Proficiency in note-taking, typing with proper spelling and grammar, and completing clinical charting as directed.
  • Proficiency in taking intra-oral radiographs and photographs.
  • Proficiency in treatment room set-up and take-down.
  • Proficiency in instrument processing and sterilization according to current infection prevention and control requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of patient-side experience.
• Familiarity with Mac computers, digital radiography, digital intraoral scanning, digital photography, and surgical experience are all assets.
• No evening or weekend work is required.
